Universal Sensors have designed a ground breaking potentiometric biosensor reader for microplates and needed a partner to re-layout the electronics, take through EMC for laboratory CE standards and manufacture a product that could be ramped up in volume. The unit provides ultra sensitive detection down to 10 parts per trillion. Applications are in the pharmaceutical, clinical and environmental monitoring markets.
Universal Sensors needed a local partner to commercialise the design of their photometric biosensor which included re-layout of a SMT PCB, an improved design for the sensor connection and positioning system and to take through EMC testing and ensure the final product would ramp up to volume manufacture.
Grant's skill and technology
With 50 years experience in scientific instrument design and manufacture we were able to use our electronics and mechanical design expertise to make the necessary enhancements and adapt the embedded firmware for full function.
Grant made all the enhancements and produced 25 development systems, this was followed by further orders in batches of 25 and some development systems for a parallel project.
