QUALITY POLICY

Introduction

Grant Instruments is structured as a system with a defined and measured end to end flow focussed on delivering what matters to our customers.  The company and its core and supporting processes have a clear and well understood purpose.  The measures used within Grant Instruments are leading capability measures which are used to demonstrate the predictability of performance against purpose and to enable the organisation to monitor and improve its systems.  Principles define the correct behaviours that deliver what matters to our customers.

The overall purpose of Grant Instruments is:

“To deliver what matters to our customers, improve efficiency and increase revenue and profits”

  •  We ensure clarity of purpose and principles throughout the business and participate in regular one to one reviews and ‘in the work’ meetings
  • We use measures that inform and guide us in improving our capability to meet purpose
  • Measures are in the hands of those who do the work
  • Decisions are made based on fact and evidence
  • We design processes that focus on the value work and which strive to eliminate waste and failure
  • We ensure that the people in the work are involved in the design and continuous improvement of the system
  • We listen and understand our customer’s requirements to ensure our system is designed and reviewed to meet them
  • We fully comply with all regulatory and statutory obligations but challenge and strive to limit any negative impact
  • We use our ISO9001 registered quality system to provide a framework for achieving our Quality principles
  • We maintain a quality system in accordance with the requirements of ISO17025 in the Safety Test Lab to ensure the validity of product compliance testing

Ultimate responsibility for the Quality Management System is that of the Managing Director, but quality is the responsibility of everyone in the organisation. In recognising the importance of the Quality Management System the company has appointed a Management Representative who has responsibility and authority for all matters pertaining to the system elements.
